So, how does it work?
When a parishioner makes a Mass offering online, a small processing fee is added to their payment automatically.
There is no cost to your parish. Your parish receives the full offering amount.
Parishioners can choose to make their offering later in person via cash or check, which is completely free.
In accordance with Canon Law, Mass offerings are entirely voluntary. A Mass is never withheld because an offering was not made. It is always the parishioner's choice whether to give, how much to give, and whether to pay online or in person.
Processing fees include a $1.00 platform fee plus Stripe's standard rates: 2.9% + $0.30 for cards, 0.8% for ACH bank transfers (capped at $5.00). Actual Stripe fees may vary.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we have to replace our existing Mass intention process?
No. Many parishes continue using their intention book for in-person requests and use MassRequest.com alongside it to accept requests and offerings online. You can adopt as much or as little as you need.
Can we use MassRequest.com without accepting online offerings?
Yes. Parishes can use MassRequest.com for scheduling, notifications, and record-keeping without enabling online payments. Staff can still record cash and check offerings manually.
Where do online offerings go?
Directly to your parish. During setup, connect your parish bank account. Offerings are deposited straight into your account — MassRequest.com does not hold your funds.
Is there a fee for offerings made in person?
No. The platform fee only applies to offerings paid online. There is no charge when staff record cash or check offerings.
Can the parish cover the processing fee instead?
Yes. Parishes have the option to cover the processing fee so that parishioners don't have to.
What if a parishioner offers more or less than the suggested amount?
The parish receives the full amount, whatever the parishioner chooses to give.
Are there discounts for bulk offerings?
Yes. The platform fee decreases with each additional intention in a single offering: $1.00 for the first, $0.50 for the second, and $0.25 for each additional. For example, a Novena (9 intentions) has a total platform fee of just $3.25.
