So, how does it work?
When a parishioner makes a Mass offering online, a small processing fee is added to their payment.
When your parish accepts offerings online, there is no cost to your parish. Your parish receives the full offering amount.
Parishioners can still bring cash or a check to the office, and recording those offerings is free.
In accordance with Canon Law, Mass offerings are entirely voluntary. A Mass is never withheld because an offering was not made. It is always the parishioner's choice whether to give, and how much to give.
Processing fees include a $1.00 platform fee per intention or dedication, plus Stripe's standard card rate of 2.9% + $0.30. Actual Stripe fees may vary.

- Do we have to replace our existing Mass intention process?
- No. Many parishes keep using their intention book for in-person requests and use MassRequest.com alongside it to accept requests and offerings online.
- Can we use MassRequest.com without accepting online offerings?
- Yes, with a small monthly subscription. MassRequest.com is funded by the processing fee on online offerings, so a parish that doesn't accept them helps fund the platform with a subscription instead. Contact us to set one up.
- Where do online offerings go?
- Directly to your parish. During setup, you connect your parish bank account, and offerings are deposited straight into it. MassRequest.com does not hold your funds.
- Is there a fee for offerings made in person?
- No. The platform fee only applies to offerings paid online. There is no charge when staff record cash or check offerings.
- Can the parish cover the processing fee instead?
- Yes. If your parish covers the processing fee, the parishioner pays only their offering, and the fee is taken out of the offering before it reaches your account.
- What if a parishioner offers more or less than the suggested amount?
- The parish receives the full amount, whatever the parishioner chooses to give.
- How much is the platform fee?
- It is $1.00 for each Mass intention or dedication paid for online. The parishioner pays it along with their offering, and the parish receives the full offering amount.
- What do printed Mass cards cost?
- Email cards are free. Postcards are $2.95 in the US and $3.95 in Canada. The parishioner pays for a postcard with their offering at checkout, or later from their account.
